It covers lillousbeautyandbarbercollege.com, tour-campus.lillousbeautyandbarbercollege.com, our forms and surveys, our social media pages and ads, our text and email messages, our phone lines, our booking and calendar tools, and everything we do at the campuses. It takes effect on October 27, 2026.

We collect each category only for the purpose described, and we keep it only as long as the retention schedule in How we share, retain and protect information allows.
We collect information in three ways: you give it to us, our systems record it automatically, and some reaches us from partners such as advertising platforms, accreditors and regulators. The subheadings below cover the channels people ask about most.
Websites, tour pages and forms
When you visit our site or the tour landing page, book a campus tour, fill in a contact or survey form, or request information about a program, we collect what you enter and the campus you chose. Our booking and calendar tools record the date, time and location of your visit so we can confirm it and remind you.
Cookies, pixels and analytics
We use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the site working, to count visits, to see which pages lead to applications, and to show our ads to people who have shown interest in our programs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work less well. See Your rights and choices for how to opt out of targeted advertising.
Phone calls, voicemail and call recording
When you call a campus, we may record the call for quality, training and compliance, and we keep voicemail messages. We tell you at the start of a recorded call. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will carry on the conversation without recording.
AI chatbots and voice assistants
Our website may offer an AI chat widget or voice assistant to answer common questions and help you book a tour. Those conversations are stored and reviewed so we can improve the answers. The assistant gives general information only, and an admissions representative confirms program details, costs and start dates before you enroll.
Text messages, email and social media
We contact you by text, email and social media only in the ways you have agreed to, and every channel gives you a way to stop. Consent to receive marketing messages is never a condition of enrollment or of any purchase.
Text messaging (SMS)
When you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send appointment reminders, enrollment updates and event notices such as The Fade Finale. We send these messages through a registered A2P 10DLC campaign, and we follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or reply HELP for help.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Program | Appointment reminders, enrollment updates and event notices from LLBBC |
| Message frequency | Varies with your activity and the services you request |
| Cost | Msg & data rates may apply |
| Opt out | Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting you |
| Help | Reply HELP, or call your campus during business hours |
| Privacy of opt‑in | Your mobile opt‑in data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing |
We email people who ask for information, apply or enroll. Every marketing email carries our postal address and a working unsubscribe link, and we honour opt‑outs within ten business days, as the CAN‑SPAM Act requires. Messages about your application, schedule or account are not marketing and may still be sent.
Social media, ads and lead forms
We run pages and paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms, and we use their lead ad forms. When you submit a lead form, the platform passes us the details you entered so we can follow up. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, and we do not control their tracking.
Photos, videos and testimonials
We photograph and film campus life, student work, salon services and competition events such as The Fade Finale. We publish a student's photo, video or testimonial on our social media and marketing only with a signed model release, which you may withdraw in writing at any time. Withdrawing a release stops future use, but it cannot remove copies that others have already shared.
Enrollment, students and financial aid
Admissions and application data
Our application collects your name, contact details, date of birth, photo ID, Social Security number or other tax identifier, and your high school diploma or GED. We use these to confirm identity and eligibility, to place you in a program and to report to regulators. The $50 application fee is processed by a payment provider, and we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Student records and FERPA
Your education records, including attendance, clock hours, grades and progress, are kept under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. We release them to you, and to others only with your written consent or where FERPA allows, such as to accreditors and to state and federal agencies that oversee our programs.
Financial aid and GLBA safeguards
If you apply for financial aid, we collect income, tax and dependency information and share it with the U.S. Department of Education and our servicers to process your aid. The Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act requires us to safeguard this nonpublic personal information, and we limit access to the staff who need it for their work.
Licensing hours and state records
We report clock hours and completion data to the Indiana Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners, and to other licensing bodies where a program requires it. Those reports identify you and your program, and they support your licence application.
Students under 18 and children under 13
We enroll students who are at least 16 with a parent or guardian's consent, and we handle their records as we do any student's. Our website and programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, call a campus and ask for the Privacy Contact so we can delete it.
Salon and clinic services to the public
Our student salons serve the public. We keep appointment details, service notes, allergy and patch test information and payment records for clients, and we use them to deliver the service, to keep you safe and to teach our students. Client records are separate from student records and are shared only as this policy describes.
How we share, retain and protect information
We share personal information only with the people and organisations that help us run the school, and only as far as they need it to do that work.
- Service providers that host our website, run our booking calendar, send our texts and email, process payments and record calls, all under contract.
- Accreditors and regulators, including the Indiana Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners, the U.S. Department of Education and state agencies that license or oversee our programs.
- Advertising and analytics platforms that measure our pages and show our ads, as described under Cookies, pixels and analytics.
- Emergency services, auditors or lawyers when the law requires it or when someone's safety is at risk.
- A buyer or successor if the school is sold or restructured, with the same protections applied to your information.
How long we keep records
| Record | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Inquiry and tour booking records | 24 months after your last contact |
| Applications from people who do not enroll | 24 months after the decision |
| Student education records | At least 5 years after you leave, longer where state or accreditor rules require |
| Financial aid records | For the period federal aid rules require, then destroyed under our records schedule |
| Call recordings | 12 months |
| Marketing and cookie data | Up to 24 months |
These periods are examples for this template. Set the final periods with your legal counsel and keep them consistent with state, federal and accreditor rules.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, staff training and locked file storage. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
Access
Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and a plain explanation of how we use it.
Correction
Ask us to fix information that is wrong or out of date, including your contact details and your student record.
Deletion
Ask us to delete information we no longer need. We keep records that the law, an accreditor or a regulator requires us to keep.
Opt out
Stop marketing texts with STOP, unsubscribe from email, or tell us to stop using your information for targeted advertising.
You can make any of these requests by phone or in person at any campus, or by writing to the Gary campus address below. We answer requests within the time the law allows, and we do not charge for the first request in a year.
State privacy rights
Residents of California and of other states with privacy laws have extra rights, including the right to know the categories of information we collect, to correct and delete it, to opt out of targeted advertising and of any sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Indiana's Consumer Data Privacy Act takes effect on January 1, 2026 and gives Indiana residents similar rights. To use any of them, call a campus and ask for the Privacy Contact. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them. We do honour Global Privacy Control opt‑out signals where our systems support them, and you can also opt out through the cookie settings or by contacting us.
Third-party links and international visitors
Our site and messages link to other websites, including social platforms and government pages. Their privacy practices are their own and this policy does not cover them. We operate in the United States and store information there, so if you contact us from another country your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes, contact and review
We may update this policy as our practices, technology or the law change. When we make a material change, we will post the new version with a new effective date and, where the law requires, tell you directly. The version you are reading takes effect on October 27, 2026.
